The black finish is sleek and stands out from the usual silver. The high-torque motor is great for scratching – starting and stopping is instant. Both speed settings work well. The straight arm is standard. It's a used unit, so there are some marks, but nothing affecting performance. If you want a Japanese turntable in black, this is a solid choice.
