Our take
I grabbed this single PDX-2000 for my setup and it's a tank. The direct drive is smooth and the pitch control is precise. It only runs at 33.3 RPM, so 45 RPM records won't work – that's a bummer for some. The straight tonearm tracks well but be careful with warped records. At this price, it's a decent value for a Japanese workhorse, but you might want to replace the cartridge. Overall, a functional deck if you don't need 45.
