Our take
The Vestax Typhoon is a fun, colorful controller that works perfectly with Virtual DJ. The jog wheel illumination is a nice touch for dark clubs, and the built-in sound card makes setup a breeze. The 3-band EQ gives decent control, and the included software saves you an extra purchase. However, the build feels a bit plasticky, and the jog wheels are not as responsive as higher-end models. For $79, it's a great entry-level controller, but serious DJs may outgrow it quickly.
